December 26, 2009 From : David & Mary L., Baltimore, Maryland ".......let you know how much we enjoyed using our new SUNROOM from Roland Companies. I was afraid with all the windows it would be much cooler than the rest of the house but that was not at all the case. Our family spent almost their entire visit in the sunroom....the Christmas tree lights were so beautful through the windows. We are hosting our neighbors for New Years and I am sure our time spent will be in the sunroom once again rather than in our basement. We appreciate your whole team and will definitely recommend Better Living Sunrooms of Maryland to our friends......
While most Maryland homes are personally treasured as a comfortable haven from the world, most sunroom homeowners also think about sunrooms as an investment in their lifestyle. Instead of spending your time at home indoors, in order to save more expensive travel costs, your sunroom can be a vacation in your own backyard. While saving money by cutting costs, you don't also have to cut down on your comfort and enjoyment!
When you consider a home's value at resale, a sunroom project costs only 20 cents to 25 cents on the dollar. You are getting the other 75 cents to 80 cents spent on a project directly back into the home through increased value — which translates to owner and the owner's family's enjoyment!
Sunrooms are also listed among the Top 10 Remodeling Projects in Remodeling Magazine’s annual report that compares construction costs with resale values for 25 common remodeling projects in 60 U.S. markets.
A SUNROOM INVESTMENT IS DIFFERENT
A sunroom is something you and your family can enjoy entertaining, relaxing in, and just getting away from it all. You can see when you think outside the “return on investment” box why our Betterliving sun room and patio room owners say “The only regret I have is -- we wish we had done it sooner.”
WHAT DOES A SUNROOM COST?
When you start comparing cost estimates for actual sun room projects, remember that averaging tends to have a leveling effect on “Job Cost” data. And, seemingly small details of differences in size, scope, or in the quality of finishes can dramatically affect the final project cost.
Remember, too, that, even in neighborhoods in the same city, local conditions can affect both the cost and value of a remodeling project, making our numbers appear too high or too low.
In an actual real estate transaction, the “cost recouped” for a given remodeling project depends on a variety of factors. These include the condition of the rest of the house, the value of similar homes nearby, and the rate at which property values are changing in the surrounding area.
As well, a home's urban, suburban, or rural setting also affects its value, as does the availability and cost of new and existing homes in the immediate vicinity.
